Unical is organizing a study meeting (Friday 19th in the “Sorrentino” room) dedicated to the first encyclical of Pope Leo XIV, “Magnifica humanitas”, focused on the protection of the human person in the era of artificial intelligence. The event will open with greetings from prof. Franco Ernesto Rubino, director of the Department of Business and Legal Sciences, and prof. Tullio Romita, president of the Degree Course in Tourism Sciences.
Furthermore, important figures from the institutional, academic and ecclesial world will speak, including Vincenzo Capomolla, Prosecutor of the Republic of Cosenza, and Father Giancarlo Maria Bregantini, Archbishop emeritus of Campobasso. Alongside these authoritative presences, the contribution of prof. Enrico Caterini takes a central role in the debate. Professor of Private Law at UniCal, Caterini represents a point of reference in reflection on law, technology and ethics. His intervention will contribute to translating the ethical principles of the encyclical into concrete instruments of legal regulation and social justice.
