Provincial: Ammirati won but the numbers don’t add up in Crotone

«We didn’t take the second councilor because “Growing” lacked two votes. Whoever betrayed is out.” The election of Antonio Ammirati as president of the Province left open wounds. And the words of the mayor Vincenzo Voce say that the numbers do not add up in the Municipality of Crotone where the hunt for snipers is underway. The mayor of Cotronei (supported by Forza Italia, Fratelli d’Italia, Idea Comune and Crescere) obtained 15 preferences in the capital. While Lorecchio (of Noi Moderati) got 17 votes.
There is a clear suspicion that two members of the majority that support Voce preferred the mayor of Pallagorio rather than – as agreed – the new tenant of the building in via Mario Nicoletta who nevertheless made it. «They should go and look for another mayor», Voce added, speaking of the “traitors” in view of the municipal elections of 24-25 May. A position that was underlined, in lighter tones, yesterday also by Crescere, which elected only Vincenzo Familiari to the Provincial Council. «Any defections – they wrote from the movement chaired by the deputy mayor of Crotone, Sandro Cretella – have been limited and circumscribed». And then: «These choices cannot be traced back to political or ideological dynamics, but rather exclusively to personal logic, linked to individual interests and the search for positions».
