Emilio Errigo, extraordinary commissioner of the Sin di Crotone, knocks on the outskirts of the Istituto Superiore di Sanità, but also addresses the Istituto Superiore for protection and environmental research (ISPRA), the National Council for Research, Ministry of Health, Agency for the protection of the environment in Calabria and Region. THEThe Commissioner intends to obtain from these entities “the information they possessed” relating to the “epidemiological data” that concern the scope of the incidence on citizens of emissions from the contaminated areas of the Sin di Crotone.
The goal – as the government’s delegate explains – is to start and implement “a program of collection and analysis of epidemiological data”. Errigo’s request was formalized one week after the start of the reclamation interventions by Eni Rewind, owner of the polluted sites, with the removal of hazardous and non -dangerous waste from the landfill front ex Pertusola.
