Reggina, complicated calendar but everything is possible

For Reggina it’s time to reset what happened in the last championship matches and start again.
There are 5 points to recover on leaders Igea Virtus, 3 on Savoia, 2 on Nissa and 1 on Athletic Palermo (which could also become 4 with the recovery of Enna). With 27 points available, a calendar that puts the Amaranths in front of the two potentially furthest teams and other direct clashes to be played for the others, anything can still happen.
However, at the break on 8 March, Reggina is already called upon to fight to stay in the race. Sancataldese arrives at the “Granillo” on Saturday, then on the 15th they travel to Barcellona Pozzo di Gotto where no missteps are allowed to make sense of the remaining seven games.
The slowdown in the last few matches does not change the statistical aspects. After having given away almost a third of the championship to their opponents with six defeats in the first 12, the Amaranths have always gone faster than the others. Since Torrisi’s arrival in Amaranth, Reggina has continued to see first place in the league table, although the 5 points in the last 4 matches have somewhat limited the effects of the comeback.
The final objective is now achievable only by a Reggina with its foot planted on the accelerator. As perhaps he hasn’t always had it this season given his home performance: eighth overall with 6 wins, 2 draws and 4 defeats. It is unthinkable that in the final rush even just one of the home matches against Sancataldese, Acireale, Enna, Paternò and Sambiase could be missed. While on the road there will be direct clashes in Barcelona and Palermo, primarily away games in Gela and Milazzo. And then there is the attack: the tenth with 29 goals in 25 games, too little for the level of the Amaranth individuality. We need to do more.
