Sancataldese-Reggina will be Alfio Torrisi’s first on the amaranth bench. But there is no time for pleasantries, the points weigh a lot. The Strait team needs them to change gear in a championship that already sees them too far behind the top. The task at the “Valentino Mazzola” in San Cataldo will not be easy: we will challenge a team that has won the same points as the Amaranths (8 in 8 games). Pidatella’s men will try to make the field count count, in a stadium where so far the only team to advance has been Messina, before a draw and two consecutive victories.
Reggina, fresh from two consecutive knockouts in the championship (in the Strait derby and with Vigor Lamezia), do not arrive at the match in the best conditions. Torrisi will not be able to have starting goalkeeper Lagonigro and will have an attack with limited availability. Ragusa, Edera, Ferraro and Pellicanò are out. Leading the offensive line will be Adriano Montalto, returning after a three-match suspension.
Di Grazia and Grillo complete the trident. Be careful, however, of the Palumbo hypothesis, who is born in 2005, if Porcino were to be deployed as left back and it was decided not to present all the under players in defence. This solution is also possible to be used during the match in progress, obviously deploying a right back born in 2007. Porcino and Correnti could be cards to play in the second half, having few options in attack and being players who can also be used on the wings.
