Reggina-Vigor Lamezia is a difficult eve for the Amaranths. The usual pressure of those who must win at all costs was combined with the heavy air that accompanied the entire week after the bad defeat in the derby against Messina. Finding each other again is the goal of a team hit in morale by this start to the season. The many and avoidable goals conceded from set pieces (six out of seven) are a sign that there is something to fix on a mental level.
But there is also more. In these first few weeks, Reggina has not shown an identity as a player or as a team. He often alternated men in the starting lineup without ever finding the right chemistry. At times it seemed that the abundance of solutions had turned into an instrument of confusion. In the best phases the team experienced flare-ups that served to confirm the great potential, although the path to expressing it with continuity is still missing.
The idea that the derby lost in Messina represents a sort of new “zero day” also opens up some changes in the team that will be on the field tomorrow. The press silence, interrupted only last Sunday by the intervention of patron Ballarino last Sunday, continues and Bruno Trocini will not be the one to anticipate any news. There will hardly be a revolution, because the team probably needs above all to put behind it the negativity it has burdened itself with with its own responsibilities.
