Reggina left yesterday for Cantalupa, a town in the province of Turin which will host the collection of amaranth. Good news for the many fans living in Northern Italy, who have been away from the team they love for three years due to trips limited to Calabria, Sicily and at most Campania.
The club made official yesterday the already expected renewals of Lagonigro and Laaribi, also releasing the list of players called up.
In addition to the goalkeeper born in 2006 (who extended until 2028) there are the defenders De Mori (2007), Fazio (2008), D.Girasole, R.Girasole (2006), Runza (2007) and Verduci. Laaribi joins midfielders Abonckelet, Baggi, Franchini, Palmieri (2008), Porcino, Rotulo, Specker (2008), Toscano (2008). The attackers on the list are, however, Alma, Guida and Di Grazia.
The list is missing other unders who were under contract and who had been part of last season’s group: Chirico, Macrì and Pellicanò (returning from an injury). Those who went to Piedmont should soon be joined by two other new signings: goalkeeper Lorenzo Piras (born in 2006) who grew up in Juventus and already has experience in D with Bra, Varese and Fasano and central defender Edoardo Lancini. For the thirty-two year old it would be the first time in D, after a career with 300 appearances between B and C.
This would bring us to twenty-one players, of which nine are under. However, the amaranth market would not be over because three or four important purchases are still expected. Talks are at an advanced stage to have the midfielder Alberto Acquadro from Scafatese, specialized in promotions from D to C and whose arrival would further raise the very high average level of the Amaranth midfield. The feeling is that the operation could ultimately be closed in the next few hours.
At the same time, we continue to work on the most anticipated shots, namely the two center forwards.
