The State Police Officers arrested a 21-year-old Moroccan citizen for the crimes of attempted extortion and persecutory acts committed against a 65-year-old man.
The victim, who had a friendly relationship with the arrested man, had decided to push him away due to some violent behavior exhibited by the young manwhich led him to be arrested last February for aggravated theft to the detriment of a commercial business following which he was subjected to the obligation to report to the judicial police.
The young man, not accepting the man's decision, began to torment him with constant threatening requests for money retaliation against him and his disabled sister.
The 65-year-old, exasperated by the situation, filed a complaint with the complaints office of the Police Headquarters. During the performance of other police activities in the presence of the victim, the State Police operators had the opportunity to directly perceive the persecutory and extortionist conduct of the young man who occurred during the activity via messages and phone calls.
In light of this, a targeted activity was immediately activated which allowed the young man to be blocked during yet another extortion request. Following the immediate trial, the Judicial Authority ordered the arrested person to be placed in precautionary custody in prison.
