A new blow to drug trafficking in the city. The carabinieri of the Reggio Calabria company arrested, in the night, an 18 -year -old young man surprised in the act of crime with drugs ready for drug dealing.
The operation took place in the Catona district during a normal patrol night service. The military of the local station noticed two boys aboard an electric scooter wandering with suspicion. At the sight of the carabinieri, one of the two tried in vain to get rid of an envelope, launching it on the roadside. The gesture did not escape the men of the weapon, who intervened immediately, blocking the two young people and recovering the package.
Inside the envelope, over 11 grams of marijuana were found, already divided into doses ready for sale, together with a conspicuous sum of cash in cash, in banknotes of various cuts. Both stopped, already known to the police for previous analogues, have been identified. The arrest was triggered for the 18 -year -old held responsible for the drug possession, while all the material found was seized.
The operation is part of a wider prevention and contrasting activity for the drug dealing by the carabinieri throughout the territory of the Reggina province. A constant commitment, they let the weapon know, to hit the drug dealing squares and strengthen safety in the city neighborhoods.
