Four public businesses were sanctioned by the local police of Reggio Calabria as part of a series of checks aimed at protecting urban decorum and public peace.

Two venues, according to what was ascertained, had organized shows with DJ sets or live music without the required authorisations, also violating the provisions on safety and the union ordinance on noise emissions.

Illegal occupation of public land

Two other businesses were instead sanctioned after further inspections. In both cases, tables, chairs and gazebos had been placed on public land without authorization, preventing their free use.

Administrative sanctions have been imposed on the owners and reports to the competent authorities for the possible application of the additional sanctions provided for by the Consolidated Law on Public Safety and the Highway Code.

Checks throughout the summer

The activities of the local police will continue throughout the summer period, with further checks on compliance with the rules regulating shows, noise emissions and occupation of public spaces.
