The incentive is back for those who want to enter the world of road transport: the MIT platform reopens from 20 October. 4.7 million euros are available for young people under 35. But how does the 2025 Driving License Bonus work? Who can request it and where?

What is the 2025 Road Transport License Bonus?

The Road Transport License Bonus is an economic contribution promoted by the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport to support young people who want to obtain a professional licence. The incentive covers up to 80% of training costs, for a maximum of 2,500 euros per beneficiary.

It can be used exclusively by accredited training bodies and has the aim of encouraging entry into the world of work in the goods and people transport sectors.

When will the application platform reopen?

The MIT online platform will be accessible again from October 20, 2025, at 12.00. Applications can be submitted until available resources, equal to 4.7 million euros, are exhausted.

Who can request the bonus? Requirements and beneficiaries

The bonus is reserved for young people between 18 and 35 years old, Italian citizens or foreigners regularly residing in Italy. It is intended for those who intend to obtain licenses and professional qualifications for driving vehicles intended for the transport of people or goods.

How to apply for the Driving License Bonus

Requests must be sent via the official MIT platform accessible on the Ministry website. You need to register, upload the required documents and select your chosen training provider.

The contribution is recognized only for courses carried out at institutions accredited and validated by the Ministry.

Because it is important for the South and for Italy

The road transport sector is strategic for logistics and the economy, especially in the Southern regions where the mobility of goods is fundamental for production activities.

The License Bonus therefore represents a double opportunity: on the one hand it helps young people to obtain a concrete professional qualification, on the other it responds to the growing demand for specialized drivers in Italy.

🔎 Because it matters

The Driving License Bonus can represent a concrete opportunity for many young people in Southern Italy, offering easier access to a professional qualification required by the market. Strengthening the transport sector also means improving the competitiveness of the territory.
