The firefighters of the command of Vibo Valentia, detachment of Ricadi, intervened today 23 March in Motta Filocastro to save some dog puppies. Stella, a Siberian Husky, had given birth inside a diameter drain tube of about 60 cm six puppies. Given the impossibility by the owner to reach the litter, the firefighters were alerted through the Nue 112. Reached the location, after carrying out an inspection upstream and the valley of the pipe, the firefighters evaluated that the only possibility to reach the puppies was through the pipe. Therefore one of them, after having adopted the necessary security measures, traveled inside the tube about 15 meters, reached the puppies and subsequently brought them outside, delivering them to the owner.
