There are already 450 registrations registered for the Calabria Rotariadi 2026, the initiative promoted by the Rotary District 2102 Calabria, led by the governor AR 2025-2026 Dino De Marco. A project that combines sport, culture and social inclusion, in the wake of Rotary values.
The event will start with the provincial preliminaries in the five Calabrian provinces and will end with the final phase on 23 May 2026, scheduled at the Campo Scuola in Cosenza, where athletes, members and participants from all over the region are expected.
Sport and culture for inclusion
The Rotariadi calendar, included in the activities of the district DEI commission chaired by Deborah Granata, with sports coordination entrusted to Dr. Alessandro Tortorella, includes a broad program of sports competitions and cultural initiatives, open to all age groups and abilities.
The disciplines on the program include 3×3 basketball, billiards, bowls, bridge and burraco, table football, cycling, running, dance, futsal, golf, table tennis, tennis and padel, as well as torball. Alongside sporting activities, there will also be space for painting, sculpture and photography workshops, designed to encourage artistic expression and inclusive participation.
Participation and solidarity purposes
Members of the Rotary, Rotaract and Interact Clubs will take part in the competitions, together with family members, friends, local associations, educational institutions and people with disabilities or social fragility. A broad involvement that confirms the social vocation of the initiative.
During the final day, the Rotariadi Hymn will also sound, composed by maestro Francesco Perri, with the contribution of Perri himself on the piano, Attilio Perri for mixing and editing and the Fileinsonus Digital Studio.
The proceeds of the event, net of organizational expenses, will be donated to the Rotary District and allocated to inclusive projects, with the aim of strengthening the social impact of the initiative on the entire Calabrian territory.
