140 police officers, carabinieri and finance guard will arrive in Calabria starting from 30 June for the strengthening of territorial garrisons in the summer. The units will be used in the locations affected by particular tourist flows or considered more sensitive in terms of order and public safety. The undersecretary inside makes it known Wanda Ferroannouncing the plan of the Interior Ministry which provides for the arrival of a contingent made up of 33 policemen, 49 carabinieri and 58 financiers.
In particular, 29 agents will be allocated to the Province of Catanzaro, to the Province of Cosenza 35, to the Province of Crotone 22, the Province of Reggio Calabria 32 and the province of Vibo Valentia 22.
“This is an important signal of attention from the government – says Undersecretary Iron – towards a region that, in the summer months, sees its population significantly increased as a result of tourist flows, with a consequent increase in the needs of safety and control of the territory. It is essential that tourists and citizens can enjoy the beauties of Calabria in serenity, feeling protected by the capillary presence of the police”.
