Five 38 caliber gun shots were fired on New Year’s Eve against the healthcare and furniture equipment business owned by the 68-year-old entrepreneur Michele Maccarone. The shutter and glass of the warehouses and shop were hit, in the “Licciardo” area on the immediate outskirts of the town, a few steps from the House of Culture. The damage was slight, but the nature of the gesture was serious, even if the gunshots did not cause concern as they were confused with the firecrackers exploded to celebrate the end of the year.
The discovery of what happened was made by the owner on New Year’s morning, when he went for an inspection of his business. The episode was immediately reported by the owner himself to the station carabinieri, who started investigations and acquired images from the cameras of the video surveillance systems in the entire area.
