Sara Campanella was a girl full of light, dreams, love for life. A university colleague killed her who persecuted her. His life was broken by a violent hand, but his dreams, his spirit and example continue to live, strong more than ever and, today, one month after the femicide of Messina, his brother Claudio, with his mother and dad next to him, wanted to tell them taking inspiration from a letter that Sara had written to a friend on her birthday. Lines that are a testament of the soul, in which everything that the young man was perceived: his vitality, his determination, his strength of mind and the courage to believe in itself.
Sara spoke of life, love for himself and for others, of the right to express their emotions without fear.

“Today – continues Claudio – With pain and anger, we launch an appeal to the institutions: Just underestimate violence against women. New, clear, hard laws are needed against Eppi and wicked crimes, ad hoc laws for feminicides. We ask for certain penalties and life sentence for those who are staining with femicide. And that’s not enough. A radical cultural change is needed, which starts from politics, all society.
We, Sara’s family, promise that her dreams will not be lost. We will assemble them as a puzzle, piece by piece. We will be his voice, strong, tireless, in the name of justice“.
