They arrested him last night. The police went to pick him up at home. He is in prison, in Gazzi, the 35-year-old professor Giulio Chiofalowho until a couple of weeks ago taught English at the “AM Jaci” Institute and now has to answer for the sexual encounters he had with some of his underage students.
The precautionary custody order was signed by the investigating judge Tiziana Leanzaat the request of the deputy prosecutor Roberto Conte.
Since the case broke out, the Carabinieri of the Pg Section have carried out a long series of checks, and apparently the Postal Police was also involved to verify the content of all the IT material, including mobile phones, computers, pen drives and hard disks, seized at the time from the professor’s home. And the checks led to the consolidation of a circumstantial framework considered valid. On the other front, there is also an investigation at the Juvenile Prosecutor’s Office, because the teacher was allegedly subjected to extortion by some kids.
The Carabinieri investigation, coordinated by the Prosecutor’s Office, was launched last October, after the complaint from the mother of a minor student of the professor, who attends the high school.
From the investigations conducted by the military personnel of the Carabinieri it emerged that the teacher had committed sexual acts with the young man since January this year in exchange for money and other gifts.
In particular, the teacher initially asked the boy for photos and videos of himself and subsequently induced him to undergo sexual acts, also in exchange for expensive gifts, including two scooters, two mobile phones and a PlayStation.
Based on the elements collected, below of the serious indications of guilt that emerged, the investigating judge of the Court of Messina, having evaluated the request made by the public prosecutor, issued the precautionary measure which the carabinieri carried out against the 35-year-old professor who, having completed the formalities, was restricted to the prison of Messina Gazzi available to the judicial authority.
