If the Italian national football team was deservedly eliminated from Euro 2024 by Switzerland, now – ironically – there is a lady from San Marco Argentanowho is expecting compensation of several thousand euros from the Swiss Confederation. All thanks to the local office of Epaca – Coldiretti, coordinated by Pierluigi Cipolla, who once he took Mrs. Angela’s documentation in hand, immediately noticed that she was entitled to the social security contributions paid for having worked in the Swiss territory, in addition to the arrears of which she was not aware.
In fact, after a correct integration of the missing documents The lady obtained a settlement letter of 1,224 Swiss francs per month (i.e. 1,258 euros per month) and an outstanding sum of 80,579 Swiss francsat the exchange rate over approximately 83 thousand euros. But why did all this happen? The woman had completely forgotten that she had worked and paid contributions in Switzerland where she was listed as a pensioner but without her knowledge.
When she returned to her homeland, she had almost erased from her memory the Swiss work experience and the related contributions paid, which now, instead, have allowed her to have a life annuity. Now, therefore, Berna will have to pay off her debt, even after a few years. The story began when the lady asked the Patronato for clarifications for the reconstruction of her contribution position on foreign pensions. And here came the pleasant surprise: through a series of information and the acquisition of initial documentation, it immediately emerged that the assisted person was entitled to the pension accrued in the “land of Emmental”, in addition to the arrears that were recovered, although only for the last five years. “It was a team result – commented the president of Coldiretti Calabria, Franco Aceto, and the regional director Francesco Cosentini – achieved thanks to the professionalism and meticulous work of the zonal manager of San Marco Argentano and his collaborators, who carefully analyzed the case, examining it in all its particularities, and demonstrating that it is always essential to carry out accurate checks to achieve these objectives as well”.
