Sinner dominates Djokovic and reaches the second Wimbledon final in a row: the title is up for grabs with Zverev

Jannik Sinner confirms himself in the Wimbledon final. The world number one, reigning champion at the Championships, tames Novak Djokovic in three sets and hits the second consecutive final act on the grass of the All England Tennis Club. 6-4 6-4 6-4, in two hours and 20 minutes of play, the score in favor of the South Tyrolean, who wins the first Slam final of the season, after the eliminations in the semi-finals at the Australian Open and in the second round at Roland Garros.

In the seventh Major final of his career – the 39th on the major circuit – Sinner becomes the first Italian in history to reach the final stage of the Championships more than once and is the 18th player of the Open Era to play the Wimbledon final twice in a row. With 99 victories in total in the Slams, Sinner will be chasing his fifth Major title against Alexander Zverev. The German eliminated the surprise of the tournament Arthur Fery in three sets with a score of 7-6 (0) 6-2 6-4.

It will be match number 15 between Sinner and Zverev, who have never played against each other on grass: the balance is 10-4 in favor of the blue, who has won the last nine direct clashes. The last defeat dates back to the US Open in 2023. The two met four times in 2026 with four victories for the blue: in the semi-finals of the Masters 1000 in Indian Wells, Miami and Monte Carlo and in the final at the Masters 1000 in Madrid.
