Eleven employees of AMC, the municipal company that deals with the city’s public transport, risk ending up on trial. The Prosecutor’s Office is convinced that it has discovered a series of time card cheaters who would have left the workplace without registering their absences with their badge. The charges also include the improper use of a company car several times for personal purposes. The deputy prosecutor of the Republic of Catanzaro Stefania Caldarelli has requested the indictment for 22 cases of fraud and one of embezzlement which allegedly occurred between 2022 and the beginning of 2023. As offended parties, who will therefore be able to ask to join as civil parties already in the preliminary hearing, the Prosecutor’s Office has identified the Municipality of Catanzaro and the AMC itself.
