Special “Lucia Abuso” award in Catanzaro, Corecom Calabria brings media education to schools

An initiative that saw the Core Calabrian Corecom distinguish itself for being the first to conceive a contest, of this kind, within which the boys themselves voted on social media by decreeing the winning products. Francesco School Middle School of Palmirepresented by Rosa Anna Cartisano; To win for the cyberbullying category was the Municipal youth consultation of Cropaniwith contact person Paolo Dragone, while for the media education theme the most voted video was the one proposed byMagna University Graecia of Catanzaro edited by Riccardo Mangone. The interaction with the students was also guaranteed during the morning through a questionnaire on the topics subject to the competition that the boys responded on their smartphones, in real time, through a QR code.

During the ceremony – moderated by the President of the Order of Journalists of Calabria, Giuseppe Soluri– A special thanks came from the inhabited family for the heartfelt memory expressed by all the speakers on Lucia Abuso, a Catanzaro professor who worked for a long time in the regional school office and who also experienced an experience as a city councilor. “We find, three years after his disappearance, the positive effects of his commitment, in school and in society – said brother Francesco -.
