Special powers for the new hospitals in Calabria, Occhiuto awaits another assignment

The civil protection ordinance through which the tasks of the commissioner in charge of accelerating on the construction of new health structures in Calabria will be awaited in the next few days. Most likely, at least according to the last interlocutions developed on the Catanzaro-Roma axis, the Prociv will investigate the current governor-commissioner for healthcare, Roberto Occhiuto, and he will entrust a 12-month mandate (possibly renewable for another 12).
Certainly the state of emergency declared by the Meloni government does not represent a lightning bolt. If anything, it is the response to an explicit request, made by the President of the Calabria Region himself, to issue “provisions governing accelerating procedures aimed at allowing the rapid construction of new novocomas”. Therefore, it is Cittadella who invokes the intervention of Palazzo Chigi. The provision launched in the Council of Ministers, however, follows almost in full an amendment presented a few weeks ago in Parliament to the “Emergency” decree – signed the forzist deputy Francesco Cannizzaro – and then withdrawn in the Budget Committee in Montecitorio.
