It’s not yet time to rejoice, but among the Calabrian specialists, the developments of the maneuver being examined by Parliament are being watched with great interest. Attention is all focused on an amendment, signed by some Forza Italia deputies, which provides for the possibility of hiring without time limits and without the restriction to companies and bodies belonging to the training network alone. With the rules currently in force (those of the Calabria decree), medical specialists starting from the second year of training can be hired until 31 December 2026 by healthcare companies with fixed-term subordinate employment contracts, with part-time working hours of the training needs and the contract cannot have a time period exceeding the residual duration of the specialist training course.
The proposal was judged “admissible” by Montecitorio’s Budget commission and in the next few days it will be clear whether the text will have a chance of reaching the end.
