Splendid Cocciaretto in Lausanne. First WTA title for the Marche girl

Elisabetta Cocciaretto won the final of the “Ladies Open Lausanne”, WTA 250 tournament with a total prize money of 259,303 dollars played on clay courts in Lausanne, Switzerland. The 22-year-old from Ancona, seeded number 2 and 42 in the world, beat the French Clara Burel, 84 in the international ranking, in the final act of the tournament, with a score of 7-5 4-6 6-4.

For the Italian it was the second final in WTA 250 tournaments of her career, after the one she lost in January in Hobart, Australia. Cocciaretto also boasts two finals won and two lost at the WTA 125 level. From Monday she will adjust her best ranking, climbing around the 30th step of the world rankings.
