The Southern innovation summit 2025 – AI for future will be held in Messina on 16 and 17 October, which for two days will put the City of the Strait at the center of innovation in the South. The mayor Federico Basile, the minister Nello Musumeci and the rector Giovanna Spatari will open the works at Papardo.
Born from an idea by the Messina entrepreneur Roberto Ruggeri, organized by the Sud innovation Aps association with PwC Italy and the Municipality of Messina, it will bring together over 100 speakers, startups, companies, universities and institutions for a multidisciplinary discussion on the concrete impact of artificial intelligence in the key sectors of the economy and society.
«The strength of the Summit does not lie only in the numbers or in the participation of national and international leaders – states Ruggeri – it lies in the ability to act as a permanent platform: it does not end with the two days in Messina, but continues in the building of relationships between startups, investors and territories, in the production of data and analysis. It is a cultural and relational infrastructure that works all year round to consolidate trust and generate continuity. The objective has always been clear: to demonstrate that great innovative companies can be born here, with the right connections and the right tools, and to inspire others to build their own.”
With the participation of the main national and international tech companies and over 7,000 participants expected between physical and digital presence, the two-day event will feature keynotes, round tables, workshops, a tech expo, an HR Village and spaces dedicated to advanced training.
Among the guests of this edition also expected Vincenzo Tanania (Pwc Italy), Matteo Mille (Microsoft Italia), Daryoush Goljahani (Google cloud), Giovanni Todaro (Ibm), Federico Aguggini (Intesa Sanpaolo) and Giuliano Noci (Politecnico di Milano), together with representatives of Enel, Tim, Poste Italiane, Nvidia, Banca Generali, Crédit Agricole, Invitalia and Cdp Venture Capital
