Table tennis, excellent results for Calabrian athletes in national tournaments

Calabrian Olympic and Paralympic table tennis is experiencing a particularly positive phase, as confirmed by the results obtained by regional athletes in the most recent national tournaments, with medals in different categories and age groups.

Paralympic and youth

In the 2nd National Paralympic Tournament, held in Rome on 24 January 2026, Graziano Chimenti (TT Nuona Luzzi) won the gold medal in the men’s singles class 9 class. In class 10, silver medal for Giovanni Paolo D’Acri (TT Nuona Luzzi) and bronze for Aldo Belmonte (TT Castrovillari).

In the youth men’s singles classes 6/10, the athletes of Nuona Luzzi are still protagonists, with the gold of Graziano Chimenti and the silver of Giovanni Paolo D’Acri.

Good result also in the 2nd National Youth Tournament of Terni, played on 22 January 2026, where in the Under 11 women’s singles Eleonora Nucera (TT Casper) won the silver medal.

Masters and Special Olympics

In the 1st National Master Tournament, held in Casamassima on 25 January 2025, in the Over 40-60 mixed doubles, gold medal for Corrado Mastroianni (TT Atlantide), paired with the Tuscan athlete Roy Fabbri (TT Siena).

Significant results were also achieved at the Special Olympics national finals, held in Senigallia on 25 January 2025, with gold in the team final for the athletes of the Galaxy company Massimo Greppi, Domenico Alparone and Massimo Mittiga, and gold in the unified doubles final for Massimo Greppi and Massimo Mittiga.
