Taormina, burglary in ex-wife’s house: 34-year-old arrested in flagrante delicto

A thirty-four-year-old Ukrainian national was arrested in flagrante delicto for improper robbery and theft with damageThe operation was conducted by the Public Safety Commissioner of Taormina.
The facts date back to a few days ago, when the police, following a request for help to the Single Emergency Number “112” on a report from the Operations Room, intervened in the home of the victim, the ex-wife of the thirty-four year old. From the reconstruction of the facts it emerged that the man allegedly entered the house by forcing the front door and stole objects and cash; surprised by his ex and her mother-in-law, he did not hesitate to hit both of them to gain his escape. The police, after having tracked down the man, managed to recover what was stolen. As ordered by the Judicial Authority that validated his arrest, the man was placed in custody in the Gazzi prison.
