Cateno De Luca always likes to spark the cards. Each step is conceived as the move of a chess game, on a chessboard, that of Sicilian politics, in which no one can ever unbalance himself on the outcome of the game itself. For De Luca, after the European blow and the inevitable downsizing that has followed, with the substantial abandonment (at least for now) of all ambitions beyond narrow, today what matters most is to remain, in that chessboard, avoid political isolation and keep each door open. And to do this, this time too he decided to sparkle, playing the most institutional role possible (“the metamorphosis from unleashed to chains”, he calls it) and playing the least predictable move: Not a party, not an electoral alliance, but a study center. Moreover, with a name far from rebellious: “I love you Sicily”. This, drying the five hours of the event to the extreme, happened on Tuesday evening at the Taormina Palacongressi.
