During the night, an episode of domestic violence shocked the small municipality of Lactaric. A 38-year-old man, during an argument with his young wife, attacked her, causing injuries judged to heal in seven days.
Tired of the constant harassment, the woman called the single emergency number 112, requesting the intervention of the police. The officers from the Rose and Lattarico stations immediately arrived on the scene, finding the victim in a state of strong agitation. After collecting the complaint, the military arrested the husband for domestic abuse.
The man is under house arrest in a home far from the marital home, as ordered by the Judicial Authority. The subsequent intervention of the GIP validated the arrest, applying to the suspect the precautionary measure of the ban on approaching his wife, with the obligation to wear an electronic bracelet to guarantee compliance.
It is underlined that, in compliance with the principle of the presumption of innocence, the 38-year-old is to be considered innocent until a final sentence. This is to guarantee the right to freedom of the press in line with the provisions of the Constitution.
