A conference on the theme «Europe between possible defense and necessary dream», Promoted by the Luigi Einaudi Foundation in collaboration with the European Parliament Office in Italy, it will be held tomorrow, Tuesday 3 June, in Rome at the Speciale EXCIVAL SPACE – David Sassoli of the European Parliament in Piazza Venezia starting from 11:00.
The initiative wants to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Messina Conference – which laid the foundations for the 1957 Treaties of Rome, institutions of the European Economic Community (EEC) – promoted by the then Italian Foreign Minister, Gaetano Martino. During the event, a paper developed by the Einaudi Foundation will be distributed.
The President of the Luigi Einaudi Foundation, Giuseppe Benedetto, the secretary general of Luigi Einaudi, Andrea Cangini, the director of the European Parliament in Italy, Carlo Corazza, and Marcello Saija, former ordinary of history of political institutions at the University of Palermo, participate.
