An Italian driver will return to Mexico at the wheel of Ferrari. The Calabrian Antonio Fuoco (from Cariati), a point of reference for the Cavallino’s endurance program and winner of the 24h of Le Mans with the 499P in 2024, will ride the SF-25 in free practice 1 of the Mexico City Grand Prix. He will take Lewis Hamilton’s place for an hour, in order to fulfill one of the regulatory obligations still pending. In fact, each team must give rookies the opportunity to test their respective cars in four free practice sessions during the season.

Fuoco also receives compliments from the President of the Calabria Region, Roberto Occhiuto: “At four years old he was driving a kart, with his eyes full of dreams and his hands already gripping the steering wheel. Today, that same child sits in a Ferrari. Antonio Fuoco, born in Calabria, will take to the track in place of Hamilton in the FP1 of the Mexican GP. A story of talent, sacrifice and courage. Proof that it doesn’t matter where you start from, but how much you believe in it. Antonio, Calabria is with you”.
