The Archdiocese of Rossano Cariati, through the Diocesan Caritas, launches an appeal to all those who want to contribute to the rescue and restart of work and daily life of those who have been affected in these hours by the flooding of the river.
On Sunday HE the Archbishop Mons. Maurizio Aloise visited the communities that have suffered extensive damage to homes, infrastructures and economic activities, bringing them a presence that aims to be immediate.
For this reason, the Diocesan Caritas of Rossano-Cariati has started a fundraiser to collect economic resources to be allocated to the affected communities.
A special current account has been activated for those who intend to contribute:
- Iban: IT46G0306909606100000138461 – Intesa San Paolo
- Registered to the Archdiocese of Rossano Cariati
- Reason: Crati flood emergency
The Diocesan Caritas of Rossano-Cariati thanks in advance all those who will join this solidarity effort and recalls that an extraordinary collection of materials necessary to deal with the emergency has also been started, in particular:
- personal hygiene products
- household hygiene products (detergents, bleach, degreasing detergents, disinfectants, brooms, shovels, buckets with mops, rags, abrasive sponges, gloves, masks, resistant waste bags and bags), equipment for removing mud and restoring environments (shovels, rubber boots, water pumps, brushes, high-pressure washers, water suction pumps).
It is possible to deliver the material to the Diocesan Caritas, directly at the headquarters of the House of Hope in the AU of Rossano:
