The decision of the Council for the elections and immunities of the Chamber on the ‘Calabria case’ has been postponed for a week. In fact, the council should have voted this evening on the appeal presented by M5s regarding the recount of the ballots from the single-member constituency of Cosenza, which allowed Andrea Gentile of Forza Italia to be elected in place of Elisa Scutellà for the 5 stars who then asked, after the recount of the blank and invalid ballots which had already taken place during the appeal presented by the blue, to also examine a sample of ballots considered valid during the 2022 ballot.
After a debate of about two hours, the Montecitorio body established a postponement of a week for further investigations.
