The acquittals become definitive for the boss Pantaleone Mancuso, alias Scarpuni, and the entrepreneur Riccardo Di Palma, 53 years old, accused of extortion and illicit competition with the mafia in the context of the trial resulting from the investigation Gone with the wind, on the alleged infiltration of the ‘Ndrangheta gangs in the wind farm business in the provinces of Catanzaro, Crotone and Vibo Valentia. The judges of the Supreme Court, called for the second time to decide on the two positions, deemed the appeal presented by the Catanzaro General Prosecutor’s Office inadmissible. The Capitoline judges have «excluded that from the evidentiary elements acquired it is possible to infer a contribution» of the boss Mancuso to the extortion conduct.
