The suggestive Gagliardi palace welcomed the presentation of the smartbook “Vibonese Experiences”. The event, organized by the Councilor for Culture and Tourism Giusi Fanelli it was an opportunity to talk about the rich and prestigious archaeological heritage preserved in the city of Vibo Valentia and told by Claudia Maria De Masi in the volume published by Beroe editions. The meeting, moderated by the journalist Francesco Iannello, was also attended by the mayor Maria Limardo. The mayor expressed his enthusiasm for the work thus: «The Esperienze Vibonesi smartbook closes in the best possible way a cycle of cultural ferment which during my administration saw Vibo Valentia as the protagonist starting from Italian Capital of the Book!».

Councilor Giusi Fanelli wanted to underline the network work created around the creation of the smartbook: «Esperienze Vibonesi was a team effort that enhanced local realities such as Edizioni Beroe, the cultural heritage operator Claudia Maria De Masi, the PCTO of the “Vito Capialbi” Linguistic Institute, Erasmus Plus and the “La Ribalta” APS association. With their contribution the smartbook was translated into English, French, German and Spanish.”

An excited Claudia Maria De Masi comments on the success of the event: «I wholeheartedly thank councilor Giusi Faneli who involved me in the creation of the smartbook and for organizing this event which allowed me to talk about the project to my beloved Vibo. The book is the culmination of a dissemination journey in which I am involved through the FAI and other initiatives.» The publisher Renato Costa thus expresses the privilege of having obtained the task of publishing: «It is a great honor to be able to offer my skills to the service of the citizens of Vibo Valentia. By completing the Biblio-smart project we have demonstrated that there are local realities that exploit public resources for the benefit of the territory. This smartbook is an inclusive book because it offers those who have difficulty reading on paper the opportunity to discover our wonders by listening to a voice. This is possible thanks to a QR code that directs the smartphone to a virtual page where you can listen to the book in different languages.”
