The “Petrolmafie” in Vibo: in the appeal 8 years are requested for the former president of the Province Salvatore Solano

8 years of imprisonment requested by the General Prosecutor’s Office of Catanzaro at the end of the indictment in the Petrolmafie trial (the investigation into the interests of crime in the hydrocarbon sector) which reached the appeal, for the former mayor of Stefanaconi and former president of the Province Salvatore Solano, with the recognition of the aggravating mafia charge and the affirmation of criminal liability also for the crimes of corruption for an act contrary to official duties and participation in auction rigging. Solano, in the first instance, was sentenced to 1 year with a suspended sentence by the Collegiate Court of Vibo for the crime of electoral corruption. Furthermore, in the trial resulting from the “Dedalo-Petrol Mafie” operation conducted by the DDA, the Prosecutor’s Office confirmed on appeal the first degree verdict for the former municipal councilor of Vibo, Francescantonio Tedesco at 10 years and 1 month in prison, and 30 years for the entrepreneur Giuseppe D’Amico.
