The Silver Stars of the fifth edition of the Italian Film Festival were awarded at the Greek Theatre of Tindari

The Greek Theatre of Tindari was the stage for the awards ceremony of the fifth edition of the Italian Film Festival of Patti (Messina), which saw the “Silver Stars” awarded to audiovisual products, films in competition and many protagonists from the world of cinema, culture and journalism.

Led by Roberta Ammendola with Pine Ammendolathe evening saw the participation of the actress Ornella Muti, godmother of the festival, who received an award for her extraordinary career.

Many guests arrived in Tindari for the event: the actors Peter Genuardi, Gianfranco Gallo, Antonio De Matteo, Fabio Fulco, the composer Umberto Scipione, Ilaria Mongiovi, Milena Miconi, Mauro Graiani, Andrea Roncato and the voice actress Chiara Colizzi“official voice” of the evening.

Directed by the film critic Charles Gentle (Rai – Sncci) and chaired by Franco Arcoracithe film festival awarded the following prizes:

Silver Star for Best Film to “The Penitent” by Luca Barbareschi and Special Grand Jury Prize to “Zamora” by Neri Marcorè.

“Il racconto di Ester” by Simone Barletta won the award for best short film. The best “mobile work” was judged “Bambù” by Flavio Papa.
The documentary section was won jointly by “Il Tango della Vita” by Erika Liffredo and Krista Buragne and “Vulcanoidi” by Giuseppe Moschella.

The award for best screenplay went to Cristiano Bortone for “My Place Is Here,” who also took home the Silver Star for best direction.

Best Actor went to Elio Germano for the film “Confidenze” by Daniele Luchetti, while Best Actress was proclaimed to Virginia Raffaele for “Mondo a parte” by Riccardo Milani.

Beatrice Luzzi and Antonio De Matteo received the award for “Personality of the Year”.
Lifetime Achievement Awards to Katia Ricciarelli and stuntman Massimo Vanni. Finally, a special award went to the late director of photography Blasco Giurato, which was collected by actor Fabio Fulco.

An award also to TgR because regional information was and is the backbone and the link between the territories and public service. Through the telling of stories, news, sports, entertainment and much more, the Regional News Agency has been an essential daily appointment for millions of Italians since 1979. Roberto Gueli, national deputy director of TGR Rai, collected the award.

The Italian Film Festival is organized with the contribution of the Sicilian Region – Department of Tourism, Sport and Entertainment and has the patronage of the Municipality of Patti (Me).
