The municipal administration, with the installation of the new councilor for economic and productive activities, Sarino Branda, is trying to revive the fortunes of the city’s trade by giving it a new impetus. First the resumption of relations with the appropriate consultancy, then the planning of some initiatives to attract tourists (the 29th and 30th “Le Terre di Cosenza” in the old Villa) and a project to have a more attractive city (last Friday the presentation of the master plan); discussions to find better accommodation for direct farmers who wander from one part of the capital to another without a new “home” after the eviction from the area under the Mancini bridge. In short, good practices and good intentions, in an area which, however, in the last 5 years has seen the closure of commercial and artisan businesses in some neighborhoods which have historically always had this vocation.
