Then the investigating judge of Barcellona decided to reopen the investigations, which then came to a conclusion.

Now the magistrate of the Messina General Prosecutor’s Office has formalized a request for referral to trial to the investigating judge of Barcellona Joseph Caristiawhich has set the first preliminary hearing for December 12. Four names appear in the act setting the preliminary hearing. These are – the qualifications refer to the time of the facts, i.e. August 2020 -, the paramedic in service at the Lipari hospital Antonino Casilli; of the doctors on call in Lipari Antonino Giuseppe Cannata And Concetta Angelica Sequence (both visited Famularo at different times); of the radiologist of the Lipari hospital John Known (he was questioned by telephone by his family). The underlying theme according to the prosecution is for all an underestimation of the case and the failure to prescribe more in-depth tests. The health workers are assisted by the lawyers Pinuccio Calabrò, Paolo Starvaggi, Rosario Venuto, Ferdinando Amata and Denise Zullo.
