The death of Donato Denis Bergaminithe Cosenza footballer who died along the state road 106 in Roseto Capo Spulico on 18 November 1989, is connected to the family of Isabella Internò«in that environmental context based on the concept of honor, the murder matured». This was stated by the civil party’s lawyer Fabio Anselmowho today took the stand before the Assize Court of Cosenza in the trial against Bergamini’s ex-girlfriend, accused of voluntary homicide in conjunction with unknown persons.
During the four hours of discussion, the lawyer retraced the phases following the tragedy of Roseto Capo Spulico, highlighting how all the investigations carried out at the time to understand what happened were done superficially. The lawyer also focused on what witnesses Forte and Rinaldi saw, who were present at the scene of the tragedy and who, when questioned during the hearings, both reported having seen a dark car on the scene, in addition to Bergamini’s Maserati. Statements that, according to Anselmo, would support the hypothesis of the presence of Internò’s family members on site. Finally, the lawyer asked the court presided over by Paola Bright to put yourself in the shoes of the Bergamini family and especially of Donata, Denis’ sister.
“Think – he said – of the heart and the liver that this woman has had up to this point, to hear people talking in that dishonest way about her brother, a simple and crystalline boy. A few days ago he would have turned 62. I – concluded Anselmo while Donated Bergamini he left the courtroom barely holding back tears – in the course of my long career, I have learned that when people change, justice changes. And justice must be done by these people. Today I have shown you that there were millions of reasons to investigate. I ask you for justice”. Tomorrow the other two lawyers of the Bergamini family will speak, Alessandra Pisa and Silvia Galeone.
