The world of Italian volleyball is in mourning. He passed away today Daniele Bagnoli: one of the most successful coaches in Italian volleyball at club level. Born in Mantua on 25 October 1953, Bagnoli wrote many historical pages of Italian volleyball, linking his career in particular to the teams of Modena, Rome and Treviso with which in total he won 8 championships, a record shared with Franco Anderlini. During his long career the coach from Mantua was also part of the staff of the Italian national teams for a short period he also coached Tonno Callipo Calabria Vibo Valentia in the 2018-19 season.
«We learn with emotion of the passing of Daniele, a coach who leaves a great legacy to Italian volleyball, and who with his work contributed significantly to the growth of our movement. For my part and the Italian Volleyball Federation I can only express my deepest condolences to his family” commented President Giuseppe Manfredi. Together with the number one of FIPAV, the vice presidents Adriano Bilato and Luciano Cecchi, the general secretary Stefano Bellotti and the Federal Council send sincere condolences to Daniele’s family.
