Thus, yesterday afternoon, Mayor Roy Biasi announced his re-nomination in the elections next May. At the helm of a list with an eloquent name: “Centre-right united for Taurianova”. A video message entrusted to social media and addressed directly to the citizens of Taurianova, in the name of a story that for years now has contrasted rebirth with a difficult past.
«Five years ago – stated the mayor – you gave me your trust, the greatest gift that I carry with me every day. Do you remember where we started from? A city where there wasn’t even space to dream. We have transformed dusty drawers into public works and open construction sites, we have transformed silence and resignation into the glorious title of Italian Book Capital. Today when you say you are from Taurianova you no longer do it in a whisper, but with your back straight and your eyes shining. And this is the greatest success, that is, having given back to all of us the pride of being Taurianovese.”
Hence the invitation to trust to continue the government experience. «You know well that the work is not finished – explained Biasi – because big dreams need time to fully blossom. Stopping now would mean ruining all the work done so far. We have sown beauty, legality and hope.
