The chain of unrelated deaths in the province of Messina is lengthening. A construction worker, Giuseppe Milici, 56, lost his life yesterday afternoon in Patti. The man, while carrying out work on the facade of a building, between the Agliastri and Mustazzo districts, fell from a scaffolding from a height of one and a half metres.
In the fall he was literally impaled by an iron stake and died instantly. The Patti prosecutor’s office has opened an investigation into the matter. Investigations were started by the Carabinieri who intervened on site. The deputy prosecutor Antonietta Ardizzone has ordered the autopsy which will be performed at the Papardo morgue where the body was transferred.
