Traffic Police checks continue unabated in the Ionian area of the upper Cosenza area, aimed at combating incorrect driving behavior and ensuring greater road safety.
In recent days the Traffic Police of the Trebisacce Detachment, engaged in targeted services, proceeded to sanction three drivers for driving while intoxicated, applying the additional sanction of withdrawal of the driving license.
Furthermore, during the performance of the High Impact services, another person, who was trying to evade police control in his vehicle, was promptly noticed by the operators and reached and then checked.
From the documentary verification activity it emerged that he was already burdened by police records as well as subjected to the measure of house detention with permission to be absent during certain time slots and obligation to remain in the municipality of residence, therefore the violation of the imposed provisions was contested.
Finally, again as part of targeted and reinforcement services along ordinary roads, aimed at combating the use of mobile phones while driving and the lack of insurance coverage of vehicles in circulation, also by virtue of the increase in vehicular flow due to travel associated with the summer season, a driving license was withdrawn and three vehicles were subjected to administrative seizure.
