NATO, Europe and Canada take on greater responsibilities

«We are building the future: a stronger Europe in a stronger NATO – a modernized Alliance. European Allies and Canada, in collaboration with the United States, are taking on greater responsibility for the defense of the Alliance.” This is what we read in the final declaration of the NATO summit.

«NATO’s deterrence and defense are based on an appropriate mix of nuclear, conventional and missile defense capabilities, complemented by space and cyber assets. We are committed to maintaining our combat advantage. We are investing in our ability to deploy, enhance and sustain our armed forces and achieve our objectives across all domains, including precision strike in depth, integrated air and missile defense, unmanned systems, cutting-edge technologies and intelligence capabilities. We are developing an interoperable transatlantic network for war operations and adopting powerful artificial intelligence models”, it continues.

NATO: “Moscow a threat, Kiev contributes to our security”

Russia represents “a long-term threat” to Euro-Atlantic security and Ukraine “contributes to transatlantic security” and the Allies are united in their unwavering support for Kiev in defending its freedom, sovereignty and territorial integrity. This is stated in the final declaration of the Ankara summit. The Allies underline that support must be fair, predictable and sustainable in the long term and for 2026 they commit to providing 70 billion euros in military equipment, assistance and training and reiterate their sovereign commitment to maintain at least equivalent levels in 2027.
