The parliamentarian’s doubts. Alfredo Antoniozzi, deputy group leader of Fratelli d’Italia in Montecitorio, parliamentarian from Cosenza speaks on the Single City at the end of the Festa dell’Unità celebrated in the capital of Bruzio.
“We still don’t know if the PD is in favor or not of the single city of Cosenza. In the regional council it votes in favor but then its mayors say no. A little clarity would do good. I read the reports of the unity festival of Cosenza – says Antoniozzi – and, net of mayor Caruso who is not organic to the PD, I saw that mayors of important municipalities in the province consider it an annexation. But in the regional council the PD voted in favor and the party is also in favor at the provincial level. I really think that the majority has done everything to meet the needs of the minority – continues Antoniozzi – as seen from the resolution. And our regional council group, from Luciana De Francesco who chaired the commission, behaved impeccably. We are waiting for the referendum that will be an opportunity to participate in sovereignty and in the meantime I tell Caruso that as parliamentarians we are always available to support the city on every positive and growth initiative. Our ideas on the single city are known and clear – concludes Antoniozzi – and we have tried in every way to work together with the opposition as demonstrated by the favorable vote of the Pd group. On all the big issues we believe that it is necessary to work together and contribute, each for their own part”.
