Vast fire of urban solid waste and material of various kinds, in Mortilla in Gizzeria. High flames and acrid smell, they report citizens, in the area affected by the stake. From the late afternoon they are engaged teams of the firefighters of the Lamezia Terme detachment and headquarters with the support of two trucks for water supply for a total of 15 firefighters units and six vehicles.
The intervention of the firefighters was worth to circumscribe and extinguish the fire avoiding the propagation of the flames with sheds and structures located nearby. The intervention is still in progress and investigations have been launched on the incident.
The mayor of Gizzeria, Francesco Argento, with a specific ordinance ordered the closure of the school complexes of Mortilla for tomorrow Friday 21 March.
