The Roial Mercatino dell’Affaccio was inaugurated today, a new space dedicated to the proximity trade, the enhancement of local products and to the strengthening of neighborhood life. The ceremony took place in the presence of the mayor of Vibo Valentia, Enzo Romeoand of the Councilor for Commerce, Stefano Sorianowho cut the ribbon, followed by the blessing of Don Piero Furci.
Located in a nerve point of the city, at the south entrance, The market will offer every week a meeting point between citizens, producers and traders, favoring sociability, sustainability and street vendors.
“We are proud to inaugurate a space that focuses on the community and small producers – said Mayor Romeo -. The market is part of that idea of restoring centrality on the suburbs”. Councilor Soriano added: “With this initiative we want to restore the neighborhoods and encourage virtuous practices that are of real support to a sector that wants to return to being flourishing. It is an important piece of our commitment for an urban economy closer to citizens and small traders”.
