A path that led the 36 -year -old from Vibo Valentia to collect himself to turn into music. The EP released in December 2024, ‘a trauma is for Semprè, tells all this. “On this album there is a lot of anger, there is a lot of introspection and there is a lot of acceptance of feelings that are not exactly ethically … well seen” explains Sarafine. Many waited for her production after the victory in the talent, but she decided to take time, precisely one year, to do things in her own way. Mission accomplished to judge by the public response and from the intensity with which she speaks of her work, Sitting. His work was almost an exercise of Maieutics: «The title, a trauma is for Semproce, was deduced from the concept that, in turn, I deduced from the writing of the songs. “Wanting to make music” but to “have been a little rejected from the beginning because they grew up in a context where pragmatism and happiness oriented towards material profit are fundamental”. She moved away from this stereotype, going from the first concerts to Brussels in which “she whistled everything and also did some crazy flops”, until she finds her own way.
Singer, musician, dj. Sarafine is a bit everything: “Like every Calabrian I like to abound,” he jokes, but the reality is that over the years he has had an artistic evolution that has led her to combine different styles. Dance music, but also Techno and Latin American bases, as in the song of her latest album ‘The Queen of Macarenà. At a first impact, Sarafine says, someone might think that it has nothing to do with it, yet “in that context that base was functional to give that message, to make that story: it is as if they were small fairy tales that must be completed both with the text and with suitable music”. “I have lived for many years a life in which I don’t feel comfortable – says Sarafine -, now I am in a phase in which I do a job that I like very much and I want to take advantage of it to be happy, not to be frustrated again in another mechanism of expectations that are not mine. If I go on stage and there is no one in front of me, however I am carbonated and singing ». In reality, people have been hearing about it, and also several, in the tour that last year led her to make half of Italy dance. And now he is preparing to replicate, even if an official program has not been widespread: “” This summer we will return to turn the country and soon we will communicate the dates of the winter tour “. And on the future of Italian music Sarafine is optimistic: “People want to hear authentic people, I see a return of rock, music played, songwriters, there is a desire to listen to less musical product and more soul”. In any case, she will continue to be herself: “My path is to respond exclusively to my expectations and for now I see serenity, the things that make me feel good”.
