General of the Army Corps Giuseppe Magliocco, inter-regional commander of the south-western Italy of the financial police, visited the provincial command of Messina. Accompanied by the Sicily regional commander, General Roberto Manna, he was welcomed by Colonel Girolamo Franchetti.
During the meeting, Magliocco met a representation of the soldiers from the departments of the province, together with the local representatives of the national association of financiers of Italy and the professional trade union associations among soldiers. He expressed appreciation for the work carried out by the Messina yellow flames in protecting the economic and financial interests of the country, underlining the constant commitment of the staff in every area of the institutional mission.
During the day, the interregional commander also had institutional talks with the prefect of Messina, Cosima Di Stani, with the chief prosecutor Antonio D’Amato and with the interregional commander of the Carabinieri, General Claudio Domizi. At the center of the meetings, the collaboration between the institutions and the main issues related to the fight against illegal activities in the territory.
